Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of their Premier League clash with Aston Villa this weekend.

Up next for Tottenham Hotspur is a clash against Aston Villa at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League.

Spurs come into this weekend’s clash off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in the Carabao Cup.

The latest defeat leaves Tottenham with just one win so far this season, which came back in August in round two of the League Cup when they beat Charlton Athletic 5-1 in north London.

Roberto De Zerbi will be desperate to improve on Spurs’ record so far this season, and this weekend could provide the perfect opportunity.

Aston Villa themselves have struggled in the Premier League, as they too remain winless after four matches. Unai Emery’s men find themselves in 19th place after conceding seven goals from their first four games.

However, they have managed to score a goal this campaign, a feat Spurs have yet to reach despite having played six hours of football.

Ahead of this weekend’s meeting, Roberto De Zerbi has now provided an update on the fitness of his Tottenham squad.

Several players remain sidelined, including Mykhailo Mudryk, Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert and Dejan Kulusevski.

A return for Mudryk is set for November, while Simons could return early next year, Odobert later this year, and there is no timeline for Kulusevski.

Sandro Tonali became the latest to join the injury table after picking up a knock earlier this week, while Pedro Porro is fit to play against Villa.

Ahead of the clash against Villa, speaking on the fitness of his squad, De Zerbi told football.london: “Porro, Tonali and Maddison all available to play. As normal, we have to understand them in terms of physical condition.”
