Ahead of Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash with Liverpool at Anfield, Roberto De Zerbi has provided an injury update on his Tottenham squad.

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to keep their Carabao Cup journey going when they take on Liverpool in round three of the competition on Tuesday night.

Back in the 24/25 season, Spurs managed a run to the semi-final of the competition, only to be eliminated in the last four by Arne Slot’s Liverpool.

However, things are a lot different for both sides, with the Reds undergoing a period of change, with former Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola now in the dugout.

Iraola has not had the easiest of starts to life as Liverpool boss after picking up six points from his first four league games.

Spurs themselves are fresh from a summer of major change after completing the signings of ten players as they looked to provide Roberto De Zerbi with the tools he needs to succeed in north London.

But it has not exactly gone to plan for the Tottenham boss, who, despite an unbeaten summer, has yet to manage a Premier League win or score a goal in the English top flight this season.

Roberto De Zerbi gives Tottenham injury update before Liverpool tie

Tottenham will now be hoping for much better fortune in the Carabao Cup this midweek when they take on Liverpool at Anfield.

Spurs do not have the best of records at Liverpool’s home ground, with their last victory there coming back in 2011.

But such is the task at hand for De Zerbi, who has now provided an injury update on his Tottenham squad ahead of Tuesday’s meeting.

Spurs have a few injuries to contend with. Mykhailo Mudryk became the latest long-term absentee after picking up an ankle injury in training last week, one that is set to keep him out until November.

He now joins both Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert on the treatment table. Meanwhile, Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie also missed out at the weekend against Everton.

Dejan Kulusevski is also out and continues his rehabilitation. De Zerbi already hinted that he will rotate his squad on Tuesday as he aims to manage the fitness of his players.

Unfortunately, De Zerbi has now revealed that Pedro Porro and Kulusevski remain out, while Sandro Tonali has picked up a new knock. In better news, Udogie is available again.

Speaking to football.london, the Tottenham boss said about his Spurs squad: “Kulusevski not available, Pedro still not available, Udogie yes. No Sandro Tonali, he felt a knock.”
