Tottenham Hotspur have received some disappointing news regarding an attacker, who has been at the top of their wishlist for a while.
After Tottenham escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth, the Lewis family have promised Spurs fans to invest in several aspects of the club to ensure that the club get back to where it belongs.
There is no doubt that the Tottenham squad is in need of significant reinforcements, with De Zerbi himself stressing the need for a rebuild ahead of his first full season in charge.
It has now emerged that one of the most exciting teenage attackers in European football is back in the Lilywhites’ sights, but he is set to prove out of their reach.

Tottenham expected to miss out on Yan Diomande
It was widely reported during the January window that Yan Diomande was at the top of Spurs’ wishlist, but the 19-year-old stayed put at RB Leipzig during the winter.
Back in February, Fabrizio Romano declared that ‘Tottenham will be there’ in the thick of the race for the pacy winger in the summer, but the Lilywhites have now received some disappointing news.
The Daily Mail have now claimed that Spurs did launch enquiries for Diomande ahead of the summer transfer window, but the player is set to turn them down.
The Leipzig man, who is valued at €100mi (£86m), is set to choose between a move to Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain after both clubs substantiated their interest.
Spurs may need to revise their targets after a 17th-place finish
There have been claims that Tottenham are prepared to spend big this summer, while some sources also say that Spurs are ready to remove their self-imposed wage cap to attract top players.
While that may sound exciting, the reality is that elite players are not going to be too enthused about the idea of joining a club which finished just above the relegation places for two seasons in a row.
The Spurs recruitment department would likely be forced to give up on targets such as Diomande and focus on smarter additions who can hit a new level under De Zerbi.
