It certainly has been an eventful couple of days for Tottenham Hotspur, first we had the news about the leaky pipes in the new stadium and then our very own club captain Hugo Lloris decided to trump all other headlines by getting charged for drink driving.

While there has been no further comment from the club on when the stadium will officially open, all we know for the time being is that the Premier League matches against Liverpool and Cardiff City will be held at Wembley, along with a Champions League fixture. After watching our pre-season matches in the International Champions Cup, it looked as if Cameron Carter-Vickers could be given a chance to break into the first team at Spurs, however, Toby Alderweireld decided to stay and CCV has been shipped out.

Contract deadlock for midfielder

Reports emerged that Christian Eriksen’s new contract talks have reached a deadlock as he wants to be paid in line with other Spurs stars and now he is even being linked with a £100m move to PSG.
