Tottenham Hotspur have not yet given up on their pursuit of Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.
Spurs are now working on making multiple additions to their forward line ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first full season in charge.
Spurs Web has relayed a number of reports since the start of the summer window that Roberto De Zerbi is a big fan of Marmoush, who found game time hard to come by at the Etihad Stadium last season.
It was reported last month that the Egypt international may be set for crunch talks over his future with Enzo Maresca, but it is unclear whether those discussions have happened yet.

After scoring a brace in City’s 3-1 win over Atletico Madrid last week, Marmoush suggested that he is looking forward to the new season at City.
Those comments were certainly not encouraging from a Tottenham Hotspur perspective, but journalist Ben Jacobs has now revealed that the Lilywhites will test City’s resolve to keep the 27-year-old.
The journalist added that Marmoush may be put on the shop window if the Manchester club land their top midfield targets.
Jacobs said on The Last Word on Spurs: “Tottenham are interested in Omar Marmoush, and if City sign Enzo Fernandes and Ayyoub Bouaddi, they will need to move players on. Spurs would be ready to test City’s resolve.”
Could Spurs prioritise Marmoush over Cody Gakpo?
While Cody Gakpo continues to be mooted as a top target for Tottenham, there is no indication that the Lilywhites have made any progress on a deal for the Dutchman.
In fact, The Athletic claimed earlier this week that Spurs have only spoken to Gakpo’s representatives and have not even opened talks with Liverpool.
That perhaps suggests that the North Londoners remain hopeful that an opportunity may open up to complete a late deal for Marmoush.
