The record has been set straight on the possibility of Roberto De Zerbi attempting to reunite with Mason Greenwood at Tottenham.
According to reports, De Zerbi wants to add multiple wide players to his squad, while sources indicate that Spurs are also in the market for a number nine.
Over recent days, there have been suggestions that the Tottenham boss is also keen on signing a versatile forward who can play in multiple positions across the front three so that Spurs are not found wanting in case of another injury crisis next season.
One man who fits that profile is Mason Greenwood, who has been mooted as a potential target for Spurs, given the De Zerbi connection.

Alasdair Gold confirms Tottenham are not interested in Mason Greenwood
The Italian coach was the one who signed Greenwood at Marseille, and many Tottenham fans will certainly not be on board with his signing, given the past allegations of sexual abuse against the former Man United man.
Alasdair Gold has now taken to social media to make it clear that the England international is not one of the names on the Lilywhites’ wishlist.
Gold stated on X: “In other news, in case you hadn’t worked it out already because it would be utterly absurd after De Zerbi’s early days in the job, but Spurs hold no interest in signing Mason Greenwood this summer despite links.”
Why De Zerbi will never attempt to reunite with Greenwood at Spurs
Multiple Tottenham fan groups expressed their opposition to De Zerbi’s appointment when he first joined, citing the positive comments he had made about Greenwood’s character at Marseille.
The Spurs boss had to apologise to anyone he had offended and make it clear that he has always stood in opposition to all forms of violence, especially violence against women.
De Zerbi would thus be aware that he would risk turning the Tottenham fan base against him if he signed Greenwood, while the move would also be an unmitigated PR disaster for the Spurs hierarchy, who are already extremely unpopular.
