Reports indicate that Roberto De Zerbi’s men are scouring the market for a new number nine to compete with Dominic Solanke for a place in the Italian’s startling line-up.

The Dutchman’s all-round game has impressed the Lilywhites, but they are expected to face intense competition for his signature.
Manchester United have been long-term admirers of Brobbey and are looking to add another striker to their squad to compete with Benjamin Sesko.
Additionally, Chelsea and Aston Villa also hold an interest in the former Ajax man, who the Black Cats paid £21.6m for last summer.
Sunderland’s stance on Brobbey explained
It is said that the Dutch international’s impressive displays at the World Cup have led to his list of admirers growing.
Juventus, Stuttgart and Atletico Madrid are among the clubs monitoring Brobbey’s situation closely, with all three clubs keen on adding a number nine to their squad.
However, even though Sunderland are facing ‘a growing fight’ to keep hold of the 24-year-old, club sources are ‘adamant’ that the centre-forward will not be allowed to leave.
The Black Cats see Brobbey as a ‘key part of their long-term project’, and with the player contracted until 2029 at the Stadium of Light, they will do everything in their power to keep him.
