Tottenham Hotspur supporters have now reacted after reports emerged claiming Brighton and Hove Albion submitted a £30m bid for highly-rated defender Luka Vuskovic.
In recent years, Tottenham Hotspur’s decision-making around squad building has often been questioned by supporters.
However, there have also been occasions where Spurs have got things right, and that certainly appears to be the case with the signing of Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split back in 2023.
The young Croatian has gone from strength to strength since arriving at Tottenham and is now regarded as one of the most exciting young defensive talents in Europe.
Spurs Web has reported in recent weeks that Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Liverpool are all keeping a close eye on Vuskovic.

Tottenham fans react to Brighton’s Luka Vuskovic bid
Despite several European clubs remaining interested in Vuskovic, Brighton and Hove Albion are the first side to submit an official bid. Spurs Web have since revealed that the Seagulls offered £30m for the Croatian centre-back.
Tottenham and Brighton also remain in talks over Dutch centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, although the south coast club are currently refusing to lower their valuation of the defender.
Recent reports relayed by Spurs Web have also suggested Vuskovic is valued at around £60m. The centre-back impressed while on loan with Hamburg, and that has certainly raised his valuation.
Following the latest approach from Brighton, Tottenham supporters quickly took to social media to react. Many fans of the Lilywhites have urged the club not to sell the player, especially not at that price.
One fan wrote: “I’d try this if I was Brighton too, but give me a break 😅”, while another joked: “Let us return with a £3m bid for Van Hecke.”
Another supporter was open to Vuskovic joining Brighton on loan rather than permanently, writing: “He can go on loan there then. Why the f**k would we entertain this? Honestly, sack everyone if we agree to £30m.”
One other fan commented: “Straight loan at the absolute most. That fee is a joke”, while another added: “Wallahi I will never support Tottenham again if we accept this.”
A further supporter joked: “They can have one of his pinky toes for £30m”, while another posted: “Swap with Van Hecke, Baleba, Kadioglu and Gomez along with £70m, then we might consider it.”
Spurs could consider Luka Vuskovic loan instead
Brighton are well known for identifying young talents early, developing them properly and eventually selling them on for significant profits.
Their interest in Vuskovic only underlines how highly regarded the 19-year-old already is, particularly as he could potentially walk straight into Brighton’s starting XI next season.
The situation could also hint at Brighton preparing for the possible departure of Jan Paul van Hecke amid Tottenham’s interest.
Spurs know it may be difficult to hand Vuskovic regular minutes immediately, given their current centre-back depth and fewer fixtures next season, which is why a loan move could make sense.
However, accepting £30m for a player with his ceiling would feel far too low at this stage.
