A journalist has provided an update on Mohammed Kudus’ rehabilitation after the Tottenham star was sidelined for the second half of last season.

Kudus was arguably Tottenham’s most consistent attacker during the first half of last season after arriving from West Ham last summer, but the Ghanaian has been out with a hamstring injury since January.

The Spurs winger was initially expected to return in April, but suffered another setback, which ruled him out of the rest of the campaign.

Kudus has also suffered the heartbreak of missing out on the World Cup this summer after first announcing himself on the world stage with his impressive performances in Qatar back in 2022.

Is Mohammed Kudus expected to be fit for the start of Tottenham’s season?

The former Hammers star is yet to play under Roberto De Zerbi, and Tottenham fans will be hoping that the Italian’s system could bring the best out of the pacy attacker.

Spurs fans have now been handed some good news by journalist Matt Law in his latest appearance on The Last Word on Spurs podcast.

Law asserts that Kudus is expected to be fit for the start of the 2026-27 season for Tottenham. However, he does not say whether the winger is expected to be fit for the start of pre-season, which will start next month.

What Roberto De Zerbi has said about Kudus

De Zerbi has admitted he sees the Tottenham winger as a ‘crucial’ player, and the Italian must be excited about having a chance to finally work with the 25-year-old on the training ground.

Kudus has indicated on social media that he is excited to work with De Zerbi, and one would expect the winger to enjoy the 46-year-old’s system more than Thomas Frank’s.

With other attackers like Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons nursing long-term injuries, this positive news regarding Kudus comes as a welcome boost to the Lilywhites ahead of next season.
