Tottenham fans have been left stunned by the future permanent fee involved in Guglielmo Vicario’s move to Juventus.

The sales keep coming in north London this summer transfer window. Last week, Tottenham Hotspur completed their tenth sale of the summer when Djed Spence finally secured his move to Inter Milan.

That departure came after the sales of Ashley Phillips and Cristian Romero, who secured moves to Middlesbrough and AtleticoMadrid, respectively.

Now, another departure is imminent, with goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario set to move to Juventus on loan, with the Turin-based club holding an option to buy.

Tottenham fans stunned by Juventus’ £8.4m (€10m) Guglielmo Vicario clause

Reports have it that Tottenham and Juventus have agreed on a future £8.4 million fee should the Old Lady choose to sign Vicario permanently following his loan.

The latest reports have now made their way to Spurs fans, who have wasted no time in sharing their reactions.

Many Tottenham supporters have expressed their shock given how low a fee both clubs have agreed on.

One fan said: “Serie A have no money whatsoever- what has happened to that league 😭” Another added: “And they can’t afford that now? Italian clubs are laughable”

A third commented: “Barca sold an academy player for 10 mil , our transfer stredgey is laughable”

A fourth fan then added: “This getting better at selling players gimmick didn’t last long” One more fan believed Spurs have managed to secure a lot of money from Vicario’s move, stating: “A lot more than I thought we could get. Especially from Juventus” Another then commented: “Just let him go for free brah 😹”

While a final fan stated: “Not fussed at all. Not wanted by the manager. Get what you can and run”

Spurs’ stance clear as Vicario exit reflects Roberto De Zerbi’s squad overhaul

The future fee is definitely nothing enormous, but that in itself could be down to the fact that Vicario has a little over a year left on his current Spurs deal, with the Italian’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2028.

He is also not a part of De Zerbi’s plans, with the former Brighton manager having already made Antonin Kinsky his preferred choice.

The Vicario move seems to be more of Tottenham using this as an avenue to get rid of a player who is currently surplus to requirements as De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad.
