Highly-rated Tottenham youngster, Souza, has sealed a loan move away from the club, just seven months on from arriving at Hotspur Way.
Some big exits are expected from Spurs in the final two days of the transfer window, with Roberto De Zerbi confirming on Saturday that Kevin Danso, Richarlison and Pape Sarr had all asked to leave.
The Lilywhites are also busy trying to push through loan moves for several of their young players, with Jamie Donley sealing a temporary switch to Luton Town a few days ago, and Mikey Moore expected to soon complete his long-awaited loan move to Koln.
A 20-year-old Tottenham defender, who is yet to make a single appearance under De Zerbi, has now sealed a loan move to a Champions League club.
FC Porto agree deal to sign Souza on loan from Tottenham
Since arriving at Santos in January, Souza has only made four appearances for the Lilywhites, two of which have been starts.
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that the highly-rated left-back has completed a season-long loan move to Porto, with the Portuguese giants having no option to buy.
Romano wrote on X: “FC Porto agree deal to sign Souza from Tottenham, here we go! Loan move until June 2027, Souza will be in Oporto today with authorisation to travel from THFC. Salary to be covered by Porto, then Souza returns to Spurs in June next year.”

It was initially reported that Porto wanted to sign the Brazilian in a permanent deal this summer, but the fact that this is a dry loan is clear evidence that Spurs see him having a future at the club.
Reports have indicated that De Zerbi is an admirer of Souza’s qualities, even though the Italian did not use him during the club’s relegation battle last season.
Brazilian journalist Eduardo Burgos even claimed a few weeks ago that the Tottenham head coach is the 20-year-old’s biggest supporter at Spurs and believes that the youngster has the potential to evolve into a ‘game changer’.
