Tottenham could have another surprise attacking target in their sights as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add at least two more players before the summer transfer window closes.
Roberto De Zerbi has made it clear that Tottenham still need to strengthen their attack, with the Italian expecting at least two more signings to arrive before the September 1 deadline.
The head coach has also stressed that Spurs want to prioritise their first choices rather than settle for alternatives, before teasing supporters by revealing that another ‘bomba’ is on its way.
Cody Gakpo has emerged as one of the leading names on Tottenham’s shortlist, although Fabrizio Romano has put the chances of a deal at 50-50.
Victor Osimhen, Ferran Torres and Omar Marmoush have also been linked with a move to North London, and now, another big name has emerged as a potential option for De Zerbi.
Tottenham among clubs exploring Endrick situation
According to TeamTalk, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs to have held conversations about Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid.
The Brazil international’s representatives have reportedly begun sounding out clubs over a potential move after the 20-year-old became concerned about his chances of securing regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Endrick had hoped to find more minutes at Madrid next season following an impressive loan spell at Lyon, but the La Liga side have since added Carlos Espi and Yan Diomande as other options up front, and have also handed Vinicius Junior a new long-term contract.
That has made the pathway to regular minutes increasingly difficult, prompting Endrick and his camp to assess their options.
TeamTalk report that intermediaries working with the Brazilian have already started looking into a possible move, with the Premier League emerging as Endrick’s preferred destination should he decide to leave Spain.
Tottenham are not alone in monitoring the situation, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Fulham also having held conversations regarding the forward.
Tottenham could face the same Endrick problem again
A move to England was already something Endrick seriously considered before choosing Real Madrid, and that interest in the Premier League has not disappeared.
Tottenham were linked with the Brazilian two years ago, although a deal never materialised because Spurs have generally been reluctant to take players on loan without an option to buy.
That could prove to be an issue again this time around, with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez still a huge admirer of Endrick and the Spanish giants reportedly preferring another straight loan without a purchase option, similar to his spell at Lyon.
Interestingly, TeamTalk claim that the arrangement would suit Tottenham this time around, alongside Aston Villa and Fulham as well, who are all understood to be open to taking the Brazilian on loan without an option to buy.
The same cannot be said for several of his other suitors, as Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are only seriously considering a deal if it includes an option to make the move permanent.
