Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring a versatile France international ahead of the January window.
While Spurs strengthened in all departments in the summer, one of the few positions they failed to reinforce is right-back.
The Lilywhites did not replace Djed Spence, who completed a move to Inter Milan, with Roberto De Zerbi indicating he is happy for Archie Gray to cover for Pedro Porro.
However, it appears that the Lilywhites are already doing groundwork on a deal to sign a versatile defender, who has impressed at right-back for Juventus this season.

According to Fussball News, Tottenham are monitoring Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu, who has made an impressive start to the season.
Although a centre-back by trade, the 26-year-old has impressed as a right-back in the Bianconeri’s first three games of the campaign.
It is that versatility that appears to appeal to De Zerbi’s side, who are scouring the market for defensive reinforcements in the January window.
However, Tottenham are not alone in their admiration for Kalulu, who is also being closely monitored by Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa.
Spurs are not the favourites to sign Kalulu
Fussball News say that Manchester United are at the head of the queue to land the French international, having already sent scouts to Italy to watch him several times to conduct detailed assessments.
However, it is explained that Kalulu will not come cheap, with Juve under no pressure to sell since the defender is contracted until 2029 with the club.
The report adds that it would take an offer of around €50m (£42.9m) to prise the former AC Milan star away from the Allianz Stadium in January.
