Tottenham Hotspur’s path towards landing Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi has now become a little clearer following the developments at another European club.
Sources close to Tottenham continue to indicate that Spurs are continuing to plot a move for Kroupi this summer, even though the deal for the 20-year-old looks difficult to do.
The difficulty partly comes from Bournemouth’s hardline stance on the Tottenham target, with the Cherries continuing to maintain that he is not for sale.
Additionally, the likes of PSG and Barcelona are also admirers of Kroupi, who scored 13 times last season in his first season in the Premier League.

TEAMtalk have now claimed that Barcelona are set to abandon their pursuit of Kroupi, who is no longer seen as a ‘realistic option’ by the La Liga giants.
This is despite Barca doing extensive work on the Frenchman over the last few months and remaining huge admirers of the youngster.
It is revealed that the Catalan club have no intention of entering the financial battle it will take to prise Kroupi away from the Vitality Stadium.
While Hansi Flick’s men only want to pay £50m-£60m for the forward, they believe it will take £100m to convince Bournemouth to sell. The website asserts that Tottenham are the ones who are currently leading the race for the former Lorient man.
PSG could reignite their interest in Kroupi
However, while Barca may be calling off their interest in the forward, another European giant could be about to accelerate their interest.
It has emerged over the last 24 hours that PSG could prioritise a move for Kroupi after missing out on Yan Diomande due to the complications involving image rights for the RB Leipzig man.
However, it was previously reported that Spurs may have an advantage over PSG in the race for the 20-year-old, as the Lilywhites can guarantee the youngster a prominent starting role in their set-up.
