The 26-year-old, who became a national hero in Spain by netting an extra-time winner in the World Cup final in Argentina, is expected to be on the move this summer.
This latest update asserts that Spurs have made it clear to Torres that they would welcome the opportunity to discuss a move if the player is open to returning to the Premier League.
PSG are leading the race to sign Torres
Despite their interest in the former Man City man, it is clear that Tottenham are not the front-runners in the race for the forward at the moment.
According to reports over the last few days, PSG are now making ‘significant progress’ in a deal for Torres and are firmly in ‘pole position’ to land the Spain international, who is also of interest to Arsenal.
It thus looks like something extraordinary would have to happen for the Lilywhites to suddenly move to the front of the queue for the Barca man.
