Fresh reports have now revealed Tottenham Hotspur’s stance on signing a new centre-forward this summer as the club continue their squad rebuild.

Tottenham Hotspur do have plenty of big decisions to make as they embark on a squad rebuild ahead of next season.

With around 10-12 players considered good enough to form the core of the rebuild, according to Roberto De Zerbi, the club must now decide what to do with those who are not at the required level.

Several sales will have to be made, while Spurs must also refresh the squad with further additions during the summer window.

Tottenham set for striker transfer decision amid attacking rebuild

Work has already begun in defence, with both Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi set to arrive later this summer.

Football.london has now reported that defence is not the only area Spurs are looking to strengthen ahead of next season.

The publication states that Tottenham are also expected to sign a striker this summer, with Richarlison potentially set to move on before the window closes.

Richarlison was Tottenham’s leading goalscorer last campaign with 11 in the Premier League, but he has been subject to transfer speculation for sometime now.

Spurs face key decision on Will Lankshear and Mason Melia

As things stand, Tottenham do have a few options available in the striker position, with Randal Kolo Muani currently on loan, although he is expected to leave once his spell ends.

Mathys Tel is also capable of playing through the middle, but since Roberto De Zerbi arrived, the Frenchman has largely been deployed out wide.

Will Lankshear and Mason Melia, despite not featuring for Spurs last season, are also options available to the Lilywhites.

Lankshear has drawn praise from Tottenham supporters, many of whom believe he possesses a striking technique similar to Harry Kane’s, with calls growing for him to be allowed to impress during pre-season.

Melia, meanwhile, took a significant step forward after making his international debut for Northern Ireland, although Spurs could still loan him out next season, which would leave them short in attack and make the signing of a striker a sensible move.
