A highly-rated Tottenham midfielder is expected to be loaned out to the EFL after Roberto De Zerbi ran the rule over him in pre-season.

Due to the World Cup this summer and the delayed return of several senior players, Spurs’ academy youngsters have had an opportunity to impress De Zerbi and his coaching staff across pre-season.

Many of them have caught the eye in the club’s pre-season matches, particularly during the tour of New Zealand and Australia.

A 20-year-old midfielder, who featured in the club’s 2-0 win over Auckland, as well as both of the club’s recent friendlies against Hoffenheim, is about to make another temporary move away from Hotspur Way.

Tottenham set to loan out Tyrese Hall again

The Sun reporter Charlie Gordon has revealed that De Zerbi has taken a close look at Tyrese Hall during pre-season and Tottenham have decided to send the midfielder out on loan again.

The 20-year-old showcased his class at Notts County last season, in what was his first taste of senior football, scoring eight goals for the League Two club.

While it is unclear which club Hall will be loaned out to this term, Gordon revealed that the youngster has attracted interest from several Championship sides, including Southampton, Millwall and Hull City.

Gordon wrote on X: “Understand Tottenham are set to loan out Tyrese Hall after assessing him in pre-season. 20yo scored eight goals at Notts County last term and has had interest from Southampton, Millwall and Hull (among others) in past windows.”

Roberto De Zerbi has put brakes on 18-year-old’s loan move

According to reports, Mikey Moore had agreed to join Koln on loan earlier this month on the back of his outstanding spell in Scotland last term.

However, Roberto De Zerbi has personally intervened to put the brakes on the 18-year-old loan move for now, with the Italian wanting wingers to arrive through the door before greenlighting Moore’s transfer.

According to reports from Germany, Koln remain confident that the Spurs academy graduate will arrive through the door before the window slams shut.
