Roberto De Zerbi has intervened to temporarily halt Mikey Moore’s loan move to Köln after a full agreement was reached with Tottenham.
Moore has demonstrated his class again in pre-season, with the winger scoring a brace to help Tottenham overcome Hoffenheim 3-0 last Saturday.
Reports indicate that the Spurs academy graduate had already agreed to join Köln on loan a couple of weeks ago on the back of his impressive spell at Rangers last term.
However, it has emerged over recent days that Tottenham are yet to greenlight Moore’s loan move as they are waiting for more wingers to arrive through the door before sanctioning the deal.

Köln relaxed despite Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s intervention in Mikey Moore deal
TEAMtalk have now also confirmed that the German club already have a verbal agreement in place with Spurs on a loan deal, while they have also agreed personal terms with the 18-year-old.
In fact, it is revealed that Moore was about to board a flight to Germany before De Zerbi intervened and halted the move temporarily.
Tottenham are looking to push through deals for Savinho and Cody Gakpo, after which the Spurs boss is set to give his approval to the youngster’s loan move.
Köln fully expect Moore to complete the move and club sources insist they are unconcerned by the current delay. The winger is firmly in the Bundesliga club’s plans, with all parties confident that the formalities will be completed soon.
Why Moore may have to wait a bit longer to finalise Köln move
According to reports, Liverpool want to add several attackers to their squad before listening to offers for Gakpo, with the Dutchman’s move to N17 thus a long way away from materialising at the moment.
Additionally, Man City are finding it difficult to sign Pedro Neto from Chelsea, who is the player they have identified as their top choice to replace Savinho.
Those two deals could thus drag into the dying stages of the window, which means that Moore may have to wait a bit longer to complete his loan move to Köln.
