Besiktas are working on a deal for Tottenham target Dusan Vlahovic after the striker recorded 12 goal involvements for Juventus last season.

The free agent market has proven to be one of Tottenham Hotspur‘s shopping grounds this summer transfer window.

The likes of Andy Robertson, Martin Dubravka and Marcos Senesi stand out as free-agent signings for Spurs so far.

Nevertheless, Tottenham remain in the market for new additions as they look to bolster their attack ahead of the new campaign.

Tottenham-linked Dusan Vlahovic closes in on Besiktas move

Former Juventus forward, Dusan Vlahovic, who is currently a free agent, is one player Spurs have been linked with for much of this summer, as the Lilywhites continue their search for forward players.

The Serbia international departed Juventus after the Old Lady were unable to agree a new contract with him.

With Vlahovic in search of a new club, Tottenham have been among the sides alerted to his availability. However, Fabrizio Romano has now shared an update on the striker’s future.

The Italian journalist relayed comments from Besiktas president Serdal Adalı, who confirmed the Turkish club are actively working to complete a deal for the Serbian forward.

In comments relayed by Romano, Adalı said when speaking about a possible Vlahovic transfer: “We are working on it.”

Spurs still have other attacking targets

Vlahovic is far from the only striker on Tottenham’s radar. Should the Serbian secure a move to Turkey, Spurs will still have several options to turn to.

Cody Gakpo, Victor Osimhen and Nicolas Jackson are among the forwards to have been linked with Tottenham in recent weeks.

However, those players will surely cost Spurs a significant amount of money, with Gakpo valued at £72 million and Jackson at £65 million.
