Fabrizio Romano weighs in on the likelihood of Savinho’s move to Tottenham going through as the North London club turn their attention to other alternatives.

Spurs have been forced to identify alternative winger targets, as Manchester City continue to stall the negotiations over Savinho’s move to the North London club.

Some Tottenham sources have said that Man City have changed their valuation of the Brazilian after the initial negotiations between the two clubs at the start of the window.

AC Milan are also circling over Savinho, as his move to Tottenham stalls, but it appears that Roberto De Zerbi’s men have certainly not given up on the player yet.

Savinho has ‘very very good chances’ of becoming a Tottenham player

Just hours ago, Fabrizio Romano had revealed that both Man City and Tottenham were interested in Pedro Neto, with Enzo Meresca’s men identifying the Chelsea star as a potential replacement for Savinho.

The journalist has now clarified that the City winger remains the overwhelming priority winger signing for Spurs and added that the former Girona man is very likely to end up at N17.

Romano said on his YouTube channel: “The priority, the number one, two, and three target remains Savinho, and I think at the end of the summer transfer window, Savinho has very, very good chances to join Tottenham.

“So I don’t expect any surprises here. Eventually, if the deal is not happening for Savinho, Pedro Neto could become an option for Tottenham Hotspur. So that could be an interesting situation to follow.”

Savinho is attempting to push through Spurs move

As the negotiations between the two clubs continue to drag on, it appears Savinho has taken matters into his own hands.

It has been an open secret since the start of the summer that the Brazilian has made it clear to his employers that he wants to link up with De Zerbi’s side after struggling for starts at the Etihad last term.

Over the past few days, it has emerged that Savinho is piling the pressure on Man City to do a deal with Spurs, as the Lilywhites eye a £60m deal for the former 22-year-old.
