Tottenham have secured their seventh signing of the summer transfer window after agreeing an £85 million deal with Manchester City for Savinho.

It has been a summer of changes at Tottenham Hotspur this transfer window as the Lilywhites continue to reshape their squad under Roberto De Zerbi.

Tottenham began their business this summer with real intent, quickly getting six players through the door as they looked to bolster their midfield and defensive ranks.

The likes of Marcos Senesi, Martin Dubravka, Sandro Tonali, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Andy Robertson stand as the first pieces of business done by the Lilywhites, who spent a whopping £237million to get these players to N17.

However, Spurs’ transfer activity has not stopped there, with yet another new signing having come through the door with less than two weeks left before the summer window slams shut.

Tottenham have now confirmed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho after what was a year-long transfer saga.

The Lilywhites showed keen interest in signing the 22-year-old last summer, but failed in their attempt after former Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola convinced Savinho to remain in Manchester.

The winger went on to sign a new contract with the Citizens last season, but that in itself did not prevent Spurs from rekindling their interest this summer.

Tottenham have finally secured Savinho after reaching an £85 million agreement with Man City.

The Brazil international is understood to have signed a six-year deal with the Lilywhites, one that is set to keep him in north London until 2032.

Savinho adds creativity and Premier League experience to Spurs’ attack

Savinho comes in and straight away offers Tottenham some much-needed depth in attack, with the Brazil international capable of filling in on either flank.

Despite being only 22, the wide forward possesses a great wealth of Premier League experience, having managed over half a century of appearances in the English top flight.

This sees Spurs continue the trend of signing players with Premier League experience this summer transfer window.

Savinho will now add further creativity on the flanks for Spurs, with the 22-year-old one of the better dribblers in the English top flight.
