Spurs are set to take on Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as they search for their first league win. Let’s take a look at our predicted Tottenham XI.

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping this weekend brings about their first Premier League win of the season when Everton come to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The last time the two sides met, Roberto De Zerbi’s men were 1-0 victors in what was a must‑win game on the final day of last season.

Spurs need a similar result, and the hope would be that the Lilywhites manage their first win on Saturday, a victory that should kick‑start their season.

Ahead of this weekend’s meeting, we have now attempted to predict Roberto De Zerbi’s starting XI.

Tottenham versus Everton predicted XI

Goalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky: The young shot‑stopper managed his first clean sheet last time out against Nottingham Forest, and he surely will be looking to make it two in a row when Everton come around.

Right‑back – Pedro Porro: He had one of his best games of the season in the clash against Forest, offering an attacking threat after De Zerbi handed him a more advanced role. He also stuck to his defensive responsibilities as he helped his side to a clean sheet.

Centre‑back – Jan Paul van Hecke: He clearly is one of De Zerbi’s favourites, and we expect him to start once more at the weekend, as he has done in the last few outings.

Centre‑back – Micky van de Ven: The Dutchman was immense in the first half against Forest, as he stuck to his defensive duties, offered cover for his full‑backs and mopped things up. We expect him to keep his spot in the back four.

Left‑back – Destiny Udogie: De Zerbi was forced to take the full‑back off on the 60‑minute mark in what was a planned substitution based on the medical team’s recommendation. He has been building match fitness and should be set to return to the starting XI this weekend.

Defensive midfielder – Sandro Tonali: The midfielder is slowly getting into a rhythm but is certainly not yet at his best. His display against Forest was much better than his performances against Brentford and Newcastle United. Regardless, we still expect him to start in the middle of the park.

Centre‑midfielder – Rodrigo Bentancur: He was Tottenham’s best player against Forest as he offered so much both on and off the ball. He kept things ticking with his passing while also offering defensive cover, making 18 defensive contributions.

Centre‑midfielder – Mateus Fernandes: De Zerbi left the midfielder out due to tactical reasons last time out. He explained he wanted to rely on Gallagher’s experience against Forest. But Spurs are at home this weekend, and we expect the manager to play with less caution. Some creativity is needed in the middle of the park and Fernandes brings just that.

Right‑winger – Savio: The winger got 60 minutes of football against Forest as he only just returned from injury. We expect him to start once again this weekend.

Striker – Dominic Solanke: De Zerbi might look to throw the big centre‑forward in against Everton’s rather physical centre‑backs in Tarkowski and Branthwaite, to give Spurs an out ball should they look to go long.

Left‑winger – Omar Marmoush: The Tottenham boss expressed his frustration with Tel’s decision‑making in the final third, and that could see him opt for Marmoush on the left to freshen things up in attack. Mudryk is also injured, which is a blow for Spurs.
