Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has not ended despite the club’s other transfer pursuits.

Regular readers of Spurs Web will be aware that Tottenham are pushing to complete big-money deals for both Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.

Both players are expected to cost more than the Lilywhites’ current transfer record signing: the £65m they paid to sign Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth two years ago.

However, the speculation linking Alex Scott with a move to Spurs refuses to die down, and it has emerged that the 22-year-old remains on the North London club’s wishlist.

Tottenham battling Man United and Arsenal for Alex Scott

Sky Sports have now revealed on their transfer centre that Tottenham remain ‘keen’ on securing the Bournemouth midfielder, but so are Man United and Arsenal.

It is revealed that both the Red Devils and the Gunners have made an ‘initial enquiry’ regarding a deal for Scott.

The Cherries have made it clear that they have no intention of selling the midfielder, and they are hoping to tie down the youngster to a new contract at the Vitality Stadium.

In fact, the South Coast club have opened talks with Scott over a deal and want him to be a key part of Marco Rose’s project at the club.

Spurs’ London rivals no longer pursuing Scott

Some sources have claimed over recent weeks that Chelsea could also challenge Spurs for the Bournemouth star’s signature.

However, Football.London revealed a few days ago that the Blues have decided against pursuing Scott this summer, thus potentially making the pursuit easier for the likes of Tottenham and Man United.

It is well documented that Scott is a boyhood Spurs fan, which Tottenham may be hoping gives them an advantage over other suitors in the transfer race.
