Tottenham Hotspur fans should not be getting too excited yet regarding the club’s pursuit of Eli Junior Kroupi.
Various sources have indicated over the past week that Tottenham are ready to make a mammoth offer for Kroupi to test Bournemouth’s resolve, despite already spending big on midfield and defensive additions this summer.
What gives Spurs fans more optimism over a possible deal is reports that the 20-year-old has signalled a willingness to join Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
Kroupi’s agent has refused to rule out a move away from Cherries this summer, admitting that discussions are ongoing about his client’s future.

Tottenham will have to beat two huge clubs to land Eli Junior Kroupi
Spurs are expected to face plenty of competition for the French starlet, and journalist Pete O’Rourke has now warned the Lilywhites that several clubs will attempt to sign the youngster if he becomes available.
O’Rourke expects Tottenham’s North London rivals, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain to attempt to get Kroupi out of the Vitality Stadium if the player expresses a desire to leave.
When asked about Tottenham’s chances of landing the forward, the journalist told Football Insider: “Spurs won’t be alone in their pursuit of Kroupi if there’s any indication that he could leave.
“PSG are admirers and Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the situation, so it’ll be a difficult race to win. Bournemouth don’t want to sell, and the price tag could maybe put him out of Tottenham’s reach.”
Football Insider also report that sources have told them ‘Tottenham have fallen behind Arsenal in the race to sign Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi.’
Why Spurs may be able to beat Arsenal and PSG to Kroupi’s signature.
It was reported by TEAMtalk last week that Tottenham have an advantage over PSG in the race for the Bournemouth forward.
The report explained that while Kroupi would have to serve as Ousmane Dembele’s cover initially in the French capital, the Lilywhites believe they can tempt the youngster with the offer of being their guaranteed first-choice striker.
Over the last couple of days, Arsenal have been prioritising a move for Julian Alvarez, which may hand De Zerbi’s side a golden opportunity to pounce on the Cherries star.
