Tottenham Hotspur have added Junior Kroupi to their shortlist after his 13 goals last season as the club continue their ambitious summer rebuild.

With four defensive acquisitions already completed this summer and one midfielder on the verge of joining permanently, Tottenham Hotspur’s rebuild appears to be moving in the right direction.

This has left many Spurs fans delighted, with plenty taking to social media to praise the club’s transfer activity after agreeing an £85m deal with West Ham United for Mateus Fernandes.

The potential arrival of Fernandes to strengthen the midfield is far from the final piece of business expected at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs Web has revealed that another midfielder is likely to come through the door, alongside new forward options.

Tottenham put Junior Kroupi on shortlist

Tottenham are already working on a deal to land Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United. Personal terms have been agreed between Spurs and the Italian, with talks with Newcastle still required to finalise the move.

Should Tottenham secure the 26-year-old, it would see them break their transfer record just weeks after completing the £85m signing of Fernandes.

Attention could then turn to the forward line, and according to Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe, Spurs already have Bournemouth forward Junior Kroupi on their radar.

Kroupi enjoyed his first full season in English football last term with the Cherries, scoring 13 goals in 33 league appearances.

Taking to social media platform X, O’Keefe wrote: “Junior Kroupi is among the forward players of interest to Tottenham.”

Why Junior Kroupi could be an upgrade for Spurs

Based on statistics, the 20-year-old forward outperformed Tottenham’s strikers last season.

Richarlison managed 11 goals and four assists, while Dominic Solanke scored just three goals in 15 league appearances. Kroupi’s numbers suggest he could be an upgrade on what Spurs currently have in attack.

However, he is not the only forward on Tottenham’s radar. Spurs Web revealed yesterday that Monaco’s Folarin Balogun is also on Spurs’ shortlist, with other reports stating he is considered a priority signing.
