Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed their sixth departure of the summer transfer window, just days after announcing the sale of academy product Tynan Thompson.
While Tottenham Hotspur fans have celebrated the arrival of six new players this summer transfer window, they have also had to watch several other stars depart north London.
The likes of Radu Dragusin, Alfie Devine, Luka Vuskovic, Alejo Veliz and Tynan Thompson all stand as players to have been sold this summer.
Their departures have already fetched Tottenham £93.1 million despite the Lilywhites having spent £237 million on new additions.
However, Spurs have now managed the sale of yet another youngster this summer, taking the amount received from sales well beyond the £100 million mark.
Tottenham confirm Will Lankshear sale
Tottenham have now confirmed the sale of 21-year-old forward Will Lankshear this summer transfer window.
The England Under-21 international enjoyed an impressive campaign last time out while on loan at Oxford United, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in 44 Championship appearances.
His standout displays from last season saw him attract the attention of several clubs across Europe.
After rejecting several offers for the academy product, Tottenham finally reached an agreement with Championship side Middlesbrough, who have now secured Lankshear’s signature this summer.
Spurs’ sixth sale takes net spend to £124 million
Lankshear made a total of six senior appearances for Tottenham and scored one goal during that spell, which came in the club’s 2024-25 Europa League-winning season.
At Under-21 level, he produced a very respectable return, scoring 26 goals in 35 appearances. His loan spell at West Brom last season, however, was far from noteworthy as he registered no goals or assists.

Tottenham fans remain unconvinced about the sale of the forward, who is only 21 and has so much potential.
With Spurs having received an initial £10 million fee for the forward – a figure that could rise to £20 million if add‑on clauses are reached – Tottenham’s total income from sales could climb to £113.1 million, reducing their net spend to £124 million.
