Tottenham have continued to find smart solutions for their outgoings this summer, with another young player now set to leave North London on loan.
It has been a good summer for Tottenham not only in terms of incomings but also outgoings as well, with CEO Vinai Venkatesham previously suggesting that the club would be smart with their player sales.
Spurs have already raised as much as £120.1m from player sales, meaning their current net spend stands at £116.9m, having already spent £237m on 6 first team signings.
Tottenham are still expected to sign at least 2 more players this month, but with several departures also likely, including Cristian Romero, Lucas Bergvall and Guglielmo Vicario, those sales could offset much of the club’s further spending and keep the net figure relatively stable.
The club have also found loan destinations for several of their younger players, with Mason Melia and Reiss Russell-Denny having already moved to the Championship, while Mikey Moore is closing in on a switch to the Bundesliga.
Now another Tottenham youngster is set to head out on loan, although his destination is somewhat more familiar.
Tottenham will send Yang Min-hyeok back out on loan
According to Sacha Tavolieri, Belgian side KVC Westerlo have reached a full agreement with Tottenham over a season-long loan for Yang Min-hyeok, with the South Korean having already undergone his medical in Belgium on Monday morning.
The South Korean international joined Spurs back in 2025 but hasn’t made a single appearance yet, having spent the last 18 months out on loan at 3 different Championship clubs.
Yang did get an opportunity during the pre-season, playing 97 minutes across Tottenham’s friendlies as De Zerbi dealt with a shortage of available wingers.
And while the 20-year-old did show some promising moments, he still looked some way short of the consistency required to compete regularly in the Premier League.
Tottenham already have a good relationship with Westerlo, having sent Alfie Devine and Luka Vuskovic there on loan before both the youngsters were sold this summer for a combined £56m.
The South Korean will therefore hope to get more opportunities in Belgium than he did at his previous clubs, especially after seeing Devine and Vuskovic both play regularly during their spells there.
Mikey Moore’s FC Koln move still awaits De Zerbi’s approval
Tottenham have turned down several approaches for Mikey Moore this summer, but Bundesliga side FC Koln remain the clear frontrunners for the academy graduate.
Florian Plettenberg has reported that Moore has already agreed personal terms with the German club, while Tottenham have also reached a verbal agreement over a loan. Importantly, the proposed deal would also not include an option to buy.
The only thing standing in the way is understood to be Roberto De Zerbi’s final approval.
That is understandable given Tottenham’s shortage of wingers, with Manor Solomon already sold to West Ham and Yang now heading to Westerlo, while Spurs are still waiting to add further attacking reinforcements before the Premier League season begins on August 22.
De Zerbi may therefore be reluctant to sanction Moore’s departure until he knows he has enough options in the position, particularly with Tottenham also facing Hoffenheim in their first pre-season fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.
