Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to add top young talent to their academy ranks ahead of the new season, and they are now attempting to raid the academy of their fierce rivals.

There has been plenty of focus on Tottenham’s big spending this summer, and understandably so, with Spurs shelling out a club record £237m on six first-team additions so far.

However, the Lilywhites are also quietly bolstering their academy ranks with talented teenagers. The biggest academy signing so far this summer has been that of Cole Ramsey, who signed for Spurs earlier this week following his exit from Aston Villa.

Tottenham are also pushing ahead with a move for Wolves prospect Kwasi Senyah, and they are far from done with their academy recruitment drive just yet.

Tottenham attempting to raid Arsenal and Leicester for two starlets

Over the last few days, there have been reports that Spurs have signed 18-year-old Kyran Thompson after he departed from the Gunners’ academy, although we are still waiting for confirmation from the club on the deal.

A Tottenham insider, who goes by the X handle ‘szyexcl’, has now revealed that Spurs are also looking to raid their North London rivals for another youngster.

He claimed that the Lilywhites are now looking to sign the Gunners’ 16-year-old academy midfielder Mishel Nduka, who has visited Hotspur Way ahead of a potential move from N5 to N17.

Additionally, he revealed Tottenham are also attempting to push through a deal for 15-year-old Leicester attacking midfielder Darren Motsi.

Szyexcl wrote on X: “Understand THFC are pushing hard and firmly in the race to sign Arsenal youngster Mishel Nduka and Leicester youngster Darren Motsi. Mishel Nduka visited Hotspur Way today.”

Spurs surprised by Kyran Thompson to Newcastle rumours

There have also been some rumours doing the rounds over recent days that Newcastle may have hijacked Tottenham’s deal for Thompson.

The speculation stems from the former Arsenal teenager being spotted at Newcastle International Airport, but szyexcl has suggested that Spurs still expect to win the race for the 16-year-old forward.

When asked about the rumours linking Thompson with a move to Newcastle, he wrote on X: “I can tell you that Spurs are surprised by all the rumours coming out about him joining them. Kyran was at Hotspur Way a few days ago and was happy with everything. He wants the move.”
