Tottenham Hotspur are genuinely exploring a move to re-sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, but there is a catch.

Earlier in the summer, it was widely reported that Kolo Muani was set to return to Juventus, who had failed with a move for the forward last summer before the Lilywhites hijacked the deal.

It is fair to say that most Spurs fans did not mind not missing out on the Frenchman after his struggles on loan last season, but there has been a major twist over the 27-year-old’s future over the last few days.

According to some sources, Tottenham have now made contact to explore a deal for Kolo Muani after the Bianconeri struggled to agree a deal with PSG.

Tottenham are not interested in a permanent deal for Randal Kolo Muani

Some Spurs fans are fuming at the club’s interest in the France international, and they will not like hearing the latest update on his future.

Football Insider now reports that Tottenham are indeed ‘keen’ on bringing the forward back to N17 for next season, even though he only scored one Premier League goal last term.

The North London side are exploring signing the forward on another season-long loan deal rather than a permanent one.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt man has no future in Paris, and Luis Enrique’s side are looking to sanction a permanent exit for the player, but Tottenham’s ‘preferred option’ is to sign the forward on another temporary deal.

Spurs are not the front-runners to re-sign Kolo Muani

Football Insider makes it clear that despite the hiccups in their attempts to complete a deal for Kolo Muani, Juventus remain the clear ‘favourites’ in the race for his signature this summer.

Unlike Spurs, the Bianconeri are keen on signing the former Eintracht Frankfurt man on a permanent deal, and have been ‘pushing’ over recent days.

Interestingly, some reports over recent days have claimed that Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are also exploring a deal for Kolo Muani.
