Tottenham Hotspur are aware that Pape Sarr is generating plenty of transfer interest after the Lilywhites broke the bank to rebuild their midfield.
It was claimed earlier this summer that Pape Sarr had been made available for sale by Tottenham after the midfielder struggled to get starts under Roberto De Zerbi towards the end of last season.
Brentford have expressed an interest in the 23-year-old Spurs man, but they are not the only ones after him.
A little over a week ago, it emerged that Napoli had entered the race for the Tottenham midfielder, as the Serie A club look for a younger addition in the middle of the park.

Tottenham are reluctant to sell Pape Sarr
Senegal’s Wiw Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) backs up Brentford’s interest in the young Spurs midfielder, and they reveal that Galatasaray are also big fans of the player.
However, it is revealed that despite the big-money additions of Sandro Tonali and Matues Fernandes to their squad, Tottenham are ‘reluctant’ to let Sarr leave.
The former Metz man is still seen as a ‘valuable player’ by the club and Roberto De Zerbi, even though he found game time hard to come by under the Italian last term.
It is revealed that it would take a ‘substantial offer’ to prise the midfielder away from N17, but the report does not reveal what kind of fee that would entail.
Lucas Bergvall’s stance may be behind Spurs’ reluctance to sell Sarr
Going into the summer window, the Tottenham decision-makers may have considered Sarr to be a sellable asset.
However, reports suggest that Lucas Bergvall has decided to seek a fresh challenge away from Spurs despite the Lilywhites’ best efforts to assure him that he is a key part of their plans.
Tottenham are being backed to sell Bergvall to balance their books, which may be why they are reluctant to sell Sarr in the same window.
