Vasco da Gama boss Pedro Emanuel has addressed recent reports linking Tottenham’s Richarlison with a move to the Brazilian club.
Richarlison’s future at Tottenham Hotspur remains up in the air, and Spurs will be hoping to get things sorted out soon as the forward has less than a year left on his contract.
Roberto De Zerbi has since confirmed that the Brazilian asked to leave Tottenham during the summer transfer window.
However, no move came to fruition after transfers to Everton and Turkish side Trabzonspor fell through during the summer.

Interest has since come from Brazil, with Vasco da Gama keen on signing the forward. Richarlison has also given the “OK” to a move to Vasco as he looks to complete a departure from Tottenham.
Vasco’s manager Pedro Emanuel has now opened up on recent reports linking Richarlison with a move to his side.
The Brazilian outfit were in action on Tuesday, with a clash against Santa Fe in the Copa Sudamericana – a match that ended 0-0.
Following the game, Pedro Emanuel was asked about the Richarlison links, with ESPN relaying his comments.
His response was brief but cryptic, with the Vasco manager refusing to give a clear indication of whether the club are set to make a move for the Tottenham forward this week.
He said: “I think my silence says it all. I work with the players who are here; he is a player I respect greatly, a player everyone knows, but they are not here and I do not feel I have the right to comment on something that is not part of our day‑to‑day lives, of my reality. I am sorry I cannot answer, but that is all I can say at the moment.”
Vasco look to take advantage of loan rule in their pursuit of Tottenham’s Richarlison
Reports have also named Atlético Mineiro as another side that could rival Vasco for Richarlison’s signature.
However, Mineiro are looking to sign the Spurs forward on loan – but a loan cannot be sanctioned by the Lilywhites due to FIFA rules that cap the number of players a club can loan outside their federation at six.
That now leaves Spurs with limited options to move the player on, and Vasco are looking to take advantage of the situation.
According to O Globo, Vasco now “consider it viable” to buy Richarlison, with club president Pedrinho leading the talks with Tottenham.
However, the Brazilian outfit is looking to wait until Thursday for Tottenham’s response to finalise the operation, before they then discuss personal terms with the South American if the north London club were to accept their proposal.
