‘Where do I even start?’ – Guglielmo Vicario pens emotional 125-word goodbye to Tottenham

Guglielmo Vicario has taken to social media to bid farewell to Tottenham fans following his loan move to Juventus.

Tottenham Hotspur have not been shy about getting rid of players considered surplus to requirements as they continue to reshape their squad this summer.

This has led to the sale of ten players, with Tottenham receiving a remarkable £204.2m so far from departures – a figure that could rise further before the transfer window slams shut.

Guglielmo Vicario became the latest to secure a move away from north London after the Lilywhites and Juventus reached a loan agreement for the Italian.

That loan deal includes a modest £8.5m option to buy for the Serie A side, should they look to sign the former Empoli man permanently.

Guglielmo Vicario sends heartfelt Tottenham message

Following his move to Italy, the former Tottenham number one has now taken to social media to send a message to Spurs fans.

He said: “Dear Spurs fans.. where do I even start ?! THANK YOU is the first word that comes to mind You made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived, Playing in the Premier Leaque for a huge club has always been a dream and for this reason Tottenham will forever have a special place in my heart and in my memories.

“A big thank you to the club, all the staff and all the teammates I played with in these years. Winning the Europe League, together, and seeing the joy we gave our fans is a memory that will never fade away, and something that I will be forever proud of.

“Good luck for what seems like a very exciting season ahead.. and one more time. THANK YOU!”

Vicario departure confirms Kinsky as Spurs number one

Vicario‘s departure now confirms Antonin Kinsky as Tottenham’s number one shot-stopper for next season.

Spurs handed the Czech international a new contract, highlighting their backing of him despite his howler last season in the Champions League game against Atletico Madrid.

So far in pre-season, Kinsky has looked sharp not just when it comes to shot-stopping, but also when playing out with the ball at his feet, a quality Vicario struggled with for most of last campaign.

Roberto De Zerbi will now be hoping that the young shot-stopper rises to the occasion this season as Spurs look to improve on their abysmal showing from last campaign.
