£100m valuation emerges as possible blow for Tottenham in Savinho pursuit

Tottenham Hotspur may have to continue to wait to get their hands on Savinho, even though the winger appears to be agitating for a move to N17.

According to some reports, Savinho is in a standoff with Man City in order to force through a move to Tottenham, with the winger having missed training last week as well as the Comminity Sheild fixture.

However, several outlets have reported over recent weeks that Man City want to sign a replacement first before greenlighting the Brazilian’s sale.

Enzo Maresca’s men have identified Pedro Neto as a potential replacement for Savinho, and it was previously reported that Chelsea want £70m-£75m for the Portuguese star.

Chelsea’s £100m valuation comes as blow to Tottenham in Savinho pursuit

Spurs Web has been closely tracking the latest updates on Neto as the deal could be crucial to unlocking Tottenham’s signing of Savinho.

Yesterday, it was reported by Fabrizio Romano that Man City consider Chelsea’s valuation of Neto to be too high, which came as bad news for the Lilywhites.

It has now been revealed by Ben Jacobs that the Blues want close to £100m for the Portugal international, who is being pursued by Saudi club Al-Hilal.

Jacobs wrote on X: “Al-Hilal are showing an interest in Chelsea winger Pedro Neto. As of Monday morning, Chelsea has yet to receive a bid. Neto is valued at close to £100m.”

Could Man City jack up Savinho’s price amid Chelsea’s valuation of Neto?

The potential worry for Spurs is that Man City are finding out that the going rate for top-class wingers now is well over £50m-£60m, and that could lead to them either refusing to sell Savinho or jacking up his price.

We have already seen some suggestions from Brazil over recent days that Spurs have now put £85m on the table for Savinho, but City are still refusing to greenlight the move.

However, this has been dismissed by The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, who remains confident that Tottenham will secure the Man City attacker for £65m plus add-ons.
