Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has admitted that midfielder Pape Matar Sarr could leave N17 during this summer’s transfer window.
So far this summer transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur have sanctioned the departure of eleven players either permanently or on loan.
But there could still be more sales this summer before the transfer window slams shut in September.
Spurs Web has since revealed that in addition to the sale of Cristian Romero and Djed Spence, eleven more players could still depart from Spurs this summer.
Roberto De Zerbi addresses Pape Matar Sarr’s Tottenham future
Pape Matar Sarr is one such player, with Tottenham reported to be open to selling the Senegal international.
Sarr has not been short of interest either, with Premier League sides Aston Villa and Brentford, as well as Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli, all keen on landing his signature.
Amid interest from clubs in England and abroad, Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has now opened up on the future of Sarr.
According to the Italian, there remains a chance the Senegalese departs from Tottenham this summer transfer window.
Speaking to football.london, he said: “For Pape, he started pre-season late because he stayed in Senegal until the first week in August, I think.
“He’s a good player. I don’t know if he stays or not we have to analyse the situation, but he is another very very important player.”
Spurs set £50m valuation as Villa circle for Sarr
With plenty of interest in Sarr, reports claim that Tottenham are now looking to demand more from potential suitors.
Earlier this summer, Sarr was valued at £30 million, but Spurs are now looking to demand £50 million as they look to complete a sale.
Aston Villa have been touted as favourites to sign Sarr this summer as they search for a replacement for Youri Tielemans, who has since been sold to Manchester United. It now remains to be seen if Unai Emery’s side can reach an agreement with Spurs.
