As many as twenty players could depart from Tottenham this summer transfer window as Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad.
Player sales have been a big part of Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer activity this summer, with as many as nine players having already departed north London.
Spurs have also fetched a decent amount from these sales, receiving as much as £184.2m from departures this season.
However, that number could still rise as several stars in north London continue to attract interest from a host of clubs.
Cristian Romero and Djed Spence stand as the latest departures from N17, but eleven other players could follow suit, and we have highlighted each Spurs star that could still be moved on before the transfer window slams shut next month.
Pape Sarr among Tottenham players who could still leave
The Senegal international stands as one whose time at Tottenham could be coming to an end. This summer, clubs in the Premier League have shown interest in signing Sarr permanently.
The likes of Aston Villa and Brentford lead the race for the 23-year-old’s signature. Villa see Sarr as a replacement for Youri Tielemans, who departed for Manchester United this summer.
Spurs, however, will not let the midfielder leave cheaply, with reports claiming that Tottenham have placed a £30m valuation on Sarr.
Richarlison could leave Tottenham if £40m valuation is met
Having strengthened in midfield and defence, attention is expected to turn to the attack in north London.
Tottenham are eyeing forward additions this summer and any potential incoming could depend on another striker being moved on.
Richarlison has attracted interest for most of the summer transfer window, although reports claim that the Brazil international would prefer to remain in England.
Regardless, Tottenham remain open to selling the forward, whom they value at around £40m. Should any sides match that valuation, then the Brazil international could well be headed out the door.
Guglielmo Vicario could leave Tottenham amid Juventus interest
Guglielmo Vicario is not part of Roberto De Zerbi‘s plans. The Italian has barely been involved in pre-season, although reports claim that he is nursing a slight injury.
However, it could also hint that his time in north London is nearing its end. Clubs in Italy remain keen on securing Vicario’s services, including Juventus.
There are talks that he could head out on loan, while the possibility of a £15 million switch away from Tottenham remains firmly on the radar.
Ashley Phillips transfer to Middlesbrough stalls over medical issue
This could well have been a done deal a long time ago. Reports have it that Middlesbrough and Tottenham have agreed on a £20m fee for Ashley Phillips.
However, issues with the centre-back’s medicals have seen the transfer stall. Should that be resolved in the coming weeks, Phillips will become a Middlesbrough player.
Alfie Dorrington could leave Tottenham after failed summer move
Another player who came close to a transfer away from north London this summer was Alfie Dorrington. Reports had it that the centre-back was close to a move to Polish side Pogon Szczecin.
However, the transfer did not go through, with reports stating Dorrington instead prefers to make a move to a side in England.
Interest in the 21-year-old from England remains plenty with sides in League Two understood to be keen. It remains to be seen if he would depart permanently or on loan. But one thing is for certain: Spurs are open to moving him on.
Mikey Moore nearing Tottenham loan move to Germany
Moving away from permanent transfers, a few players could also be loaned out from Tottenham. Mikey Moore stands as one who is nearing such a departure.
It has been reported that FC Koln and the Spurs teenager have agreed on personal terms, while Spurs are willing to see him head abroad.
However, the only thing delaying Moore’s move is a green light from head coach Roberto De Zerbi. Should the Spurs manager sanction a move, Moore will be headed abroad for the second season running.
Jamie Donley could leave Tottenham on loan again
Donley is one of the few players to have impressed Roberto De Zerbi in training this summer.
But competition for places remains fierce in the middle of the park at Tottenham. That will only make it hard for Donley to get game time in north London.
The attacking midfielder was sent out on loan last season to Stoke City before being recalled and sent out to Oxford United.
Given the depth Tottenham have in midfield, the expectation is that Donley could again be sent out on loan as he continues his development.
Kota Takai could leave Tottenham on loan this summer
Just like in midfield, Tottenham’s defence remains stacked at the moment, with the likes of Jan Paul van Hecke, Micky van de Ven, Marcos Senesi, Kevin Danso and Ben Davies all coming in as options for De Zerbi.
That will make it very difficult for Kota Takai to earn a starting spot. The Japan international was sent out on loan to Germany last season.
However, injury prevented him from getting any game time with Borrusia Moncheglabach. The centre-back still has not gotten enough experience playing in Europe, and the expectation is that he is sent out once more this summer.
Souza attracts interest from FC Porto amid Tottenham loan plans
The full-back joined Tottenham back in January and did manage to make four appearances for Spurs in the Premier League.
However, this summer the 20-year-old looks to have caught the interest of a few sides in Europe. FC Porto stand as the biggest admirers of Souza.
Reports have it that the Portugese club are even looking to sign Souza permanently. But a sale is very unlikely, with De Zerbi understood to be a big fan of Souza. A loan, though, remains on the cards for the Brazilian full-back.
Callum Olusesi could leave Tottenham on loan for first time
The midfielder is one who has come through the ranks at Tottenham. Olusesi has featured for the U18, U19 and U21 sides.
Last season, he made a few appearances for the first team as well. In fact, in his whole career, he has featured three times for Spurs.
But despite being 19, he has never been loaned out, and this summer could see that change for the youngster who needs more first-team experience.
Damola Ajayi expected to leave Tottenham on loan again
Coming in at 20 years old, Ajayi is no stranger to a loan experience, having had spells in League One and League Two.
These loan experiences came last campaign where he spent the first half away with Doncaster Rovers, before heading out to Bromley in the second half of the season.
This summer Tottenham will surely be looking to send him out on loan again, but this time to a much higher division.
