Pape Sarr could be one of the more affordable Tottenham players available this summer, with Aston Villa among the clubs keeping a close eye on his situation.
Despite De Zerbi describing Sarr as a ‘crucial’ player for Tottenham, reports throughout the summer have suggested that the club are prepared to cash in on the midfielder after he struggled to secure regular minutes last season.
And the 23-year-old’s chances of getting playing time next season have become even slimmer following the big-money arrivals of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
Having joined Spurs for around £14.6m back in 2021, the former Metz man was tipped for a big future in North London, but his time at the club has been marked by inconsistency.
Interest has already emerged from both the Premier League and Serie A, and Tottenham’s valuation of their midfielder has now been revealed.

We reported a few days ago that Aston Villa had identified Sarr as a potential replacement for Youri Tielemans, who has joined Manchester United, and could make a move before the transfer window closes.
Football Insider have now revealed that Tottenham have placed a £30m valuation on Sarr, with the Lilywhites reportedly willing to accept that relatively modest figure rather than demand a huge fee.
The report claims that Spurs are not looking to put a significant price tag on the midfielder, particularly after already bringing in £46m from the sale of Luka Vuskovic, while Lucas Bergvall could also leave the club this summer.
That could make Sarr an attractive option for Villa, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League but are operating with limited room to spend.
Villa are understood to be ‘big admirers’ of the Senegal international, and the £30m valuation means Unai Emery’s side would ‘not have to break the bank’ to get a deal done before the September 3 deadline.
Pape Sarr could attract a late offer from two other clubs
Brentford were among the first clubs linked with Sarr this summer after identifying the midfield as an area that needed strengthening, although their interest never developed into a concrete move.
That could still change, however, with Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe recently claiming that Brentford could ‘revisit’ a move for Sarr following Jordan Henderson’s departure to Chelsea.
Napoli have also explored a potential deal for the Spurs midfielder as they search for a replacement for Frank Zambo Anguissa. However, it was revealed last week that no club had yet shown a willingness to meet Tottenham’s valuation.
With Spurs now reportedly willing to accept just £30m for Sarr, though, the situation could change towards the end of this month.
