Djed Spence’s Tottenham future continues to be the subject of much speculation as the full-back impresses for England at the World Cup.

Spence is set to be involved in what will be the biggest game of his career this evening, as he looks to help England to the final of the World Cup for the first time in 60 years.

Standing in his way is Tottenham teammate Cristian Romero, who has already shot a warning to Spence and England ahead of the semifinal showdown at Atlanta.

The British press has revealed that Everton are eyeing a move for the Spurs full-back, as David Moyes is keen on solving the Toffees’ issues at right-back, but they are not the only ones interested.

Journalist says Djed Spence’s exit from Tottenham remains a realistic possibility

It was first reported by Fabrizio Romano a couple of days ago that Inter Milan had enquired about the availability of Spence.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in the 25-year-old has now been backed by The Sun journalist Tom Barclay. Barclay added that a move away from the North London club remains a possibility for Spence later in the window.

He wrote on X: “Understand Inter Milan have held talks over the signing of Djed Spence, as per Fabrizio Romano. It’s early in the summer, so long way to go. Spence preparing for a semi-final atm, obviously, but you get the sense he could defo leave Spurs this summer.”

Spurs set asking price for Spence

It was previously claimed by Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe that Everton are willing to pay £25m to land the Spurs full-back ahead of the new season.

However, that is not expected to be nearly enough to prise the former Middlesbrough man from the North London club.

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has revealed that Tottenham want more than £40m for Spence, and one would expect that price to go up further if the defender plays a key role in guiding England to the World Cup title.
