As Tottenham Hotspur fans are still waiting for the official announcement of Marcos Senesi’s arrival, it has now been revealed whether there is any chance that the deal could be hijacked.
Tottenham have now officially confirmed the arrival of Andy Robertson, but the club are yet to announce the arrival of Senesi, who is now a free agent after his deal with Bournemouth ran out.
Several sources suggest that it is only a matter of time before the Argentine’s arrival at Tottenham is confirmed, with the parties having reached a total agreement.
However, given what happened with Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White last summer, some Spurs fans will continue to be nervous until the 29-year-old is seen holding up a Tottenham shirt.

Marcos Senesi’s camp have given their word to Tottenham
A few days ago, it was reported that the chances of Liverpool hijacking Spurs’ deal for Senesi had gone up after Andoni Iraola was confirmed as the next Liverpool boss.
However, Ben Jacobs has now clarified that there is little chance of any late twist as the centre-back and his camp have given their word to the North London club.
When asked if the Senesi deal could be hijacked, the journalist told GiveMeSport: “It’s basically all agreed with Tottenham; that’s where we stand now. Spurs will obviously want to get everything signed and unveiled and announced as quickly as possible to avoid any surprises and was anything late, late late [in terms of a] hijack to change, I’ll let you know, but those close to Senesi insist they have given their word to Tottenham.”
Another experienced Premier League defender could be next to arrive at Spurs
Robertson and Senesi both bring plenty of experience and Premier League know-how with them to Spurs, with the former knowing what it takes to compete for and win silverware.
The Lilywhites are not done adding to their defence just yet and are now working to secure a centre-back who has played over 100 Premier League matches.
Spurs are preparing a second offer for Jan Paul Van Hecke after seeing their first bid turned down by Brighton, with De Zerbi looking to reunite with the Dutchman at Hotspur Way.
