Tottenham Hotspur may have reason to sweat regarding Marcos Senesi after the latest developments elsewhere in the Premier League.
Several outlets have claimed over the last few weeks that Senesi has agreed to join Tottenham on a free transfer after his deal with Bournemouth ran out.
In fact, it has been widely reported that Spurs are currently working on a four-year contract for the Argentine defender, having moved ahead of many of the centre-back’s other suitors.
Some sources have even labelled Senesi’s switch to Tottenham as a ‘done deal’, but it has now emerged that developments at another Premier League club could put the deal in jeopardy.

Liverpool could hijack Tottenham’s move for Marcos Senesi
GiveMeSport have now confirmed that Liverpool’s decision to sack Arne Slot may threaten Tottenham’s pursuit of the 29-year-old defender.
This is because Andoni Iraola is the overwhelming favourite to replace Slot, with the Spaniard having already been approached regarding taking over at Anfield.
It is suggested that Iraola could look to reunite with Senesi at Liverpool if he takes the job, which could throw a big spanner in Tottenham’s plans to sign the centre-back.
It is explained that the Reds had previously identified the Argentina international as the ideal replacement for Ibrahima Konate.
With Konate’s departure from Anfield now confirmed, and with Iraola potentially in line to take over, the club could reignite their pursuit of Senesi, given that Tottenham are yet to confirm his signing.
Spurs cannot afford another public transfer embarrassment
Tottenham were left red-faced last summer as they missed out on both Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze, despite appearing to have deals agreed for both players at various points of the summer window.
The club cannot afford the same to happen regarding the Senesi deal as the optics will be very bad, especially at a time when many supporters are questioning the competency of the Tottenham hierarchy.
One would thus expect Spurs to accelerate their efforts to land the Bournemouth man and try to wrap up a deal as soon as possible.
