Tottenham face an extremely frantic final two days of the transfer window, with multiple exits and incomings expected at the North London club.
This morning, we have received confirmation that Spurs have reached a full agreement to loan out Mikey Moore to FC Koln.
Subsequently, Juventus have also reached an agreement with Tottenham to sign Pape Sarr on an initial loan deal, with a conditional obligation to buy for £25.6m.
Now, another player may be heading out of the exit door soon after expressing his desire to leave Hotspur Way.
Tottenham scouring for Kevin Danso replacement as Sunderland push to sign him
It emerged on Sunday that Sunderland were considering returning with a loan offer with an obligation to buy Kevin Danso after seeing their straight loan offer rejected by Tottenham.
Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that the Black Cats are ‘pushing’ to land the Austrian international, who could move to the Stadium of Light within the next 24 hours.
He revealed that Roberto De Zerbi’s side are now looking for a replacement before greenlighting the centre-back’s move to the North East.
Romano wrote on X: “After Pape Sarr to Juventus and Mikey Moore to Koln, Kevin Danso can also leave Tottenham in the next 24h. Sunderland are pushing to sign him with player keen and THFC are looking for a replacement.”
Could Spurs sign a versatile defender to cover two positions?
Romano’s claim comes on the back of Tottenham insider Szyexcel revealing on Sunday that Spurs are looking to add one more player to their squad apart from Iliman Ndiaye before the transfer deadline.
Not only do the Lilywhites need a right centre-back to replace Danso, but some reports indicate that De Zerbi is also keen on adding an experienced right-back as cover for Pedro Porro.
Spurs could thus perhaps pursue a versatile defender who can cover at both right-back and right centre-back, but that profile may not be easy to find in the final hours of the window.
