Yves Bissouma could get an instant transfer to another Premier League club after sealing his exit from Tottenham earlier this summer.
The Mali international hardly got any game time last season due to a combination of injuries and being overlooked by Thomas Frank.
Bissouma’s four-year spell at Spurs came to an end last month, with Tottenham confirming that the midfielder had departed after his contract ran out.
The 29-year-old’s spell in North London proved a disappointment, but his reputation in the Premier League remains good, which is why he could be quickly poached by another London side.
Fulham looking to sign Yves Bissouma after Tottenham exit
According to talkSPORT, Fulham are looking to add the experienced midfielder to their squad just a month on from his Spurs exit.
The report reveals that the Cottagers are looking for reinforcements in the middle of the park ahead of Alvaro Arbeloa’s first season in charge, and they have set their sights on Bissouma.
The Malian, who is available on a free transfer, has received offers from overseas already following his exit from N17. However, it is revealed that Bissouma remains keen on continuing his career in the Premier League.
SkySports’ Michael Bridge added: ‘Yves Bissouma has been training at Fulham’s Motspur Park base in south-west London. The Mali midfielder was released by Tottenham this summer and is a free agent.’
Bissouma is on the radar of two other Premier League sides
Fulham are not the only Premier League club to have considered a move for the 29-year-old midfielder.
It emerged a few weeks ago that Brighton are contemplating re-signing Bissouma this summer, four years on from selling the player to Tottenham, with the Seagulls identifying the Malian as a possible replacement for Pascal Gross.
The same update revealed that newly promoted side Coventry City are also eyeing the former Spurs man as they look to add top-flight experience to their squad.
