How Juventus feel about Tottenham’s price for Guglielmo Vicario, ‘confident’ of discount

Juventus may try different formulas to prise Guglielmo Vicario away from Tottenham after hearing his summer price tag.

Vicario is widely expected to depart Tottenham over the coming weeks after the Lilywhites handed Antonin Kinsky a new contract and signed Martin Dubravka as his backup.

The 29-year-old Spurs star has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, who are scouring the market for a new number one.

It has been claimed by some sources that the Lilywhites want £20m for the former Empoli goalkeeper, but they may have a tough time getting that fee.

Juventus are confident Tottenham will offer discount on Guglielmo Vicario

A new report in Corriere dello Sport claims that the Tottenham Hotspur star is keen on completing a move to the Allianz Stadium.

It is revealed that the Bianconeri see Vicario as a ‘cost-effective option’ after studying the various goalkeepers on the market.

‘Attempts are now underway’ from the Serie A giants to bring the Italy international back to his home country after three years in London.

The outlet claims that Tottenham’s asking price for the goalkeeper is €15m (£12.8m), but Juve are ‘confident’ that the Premier League side will grant them a discount.

Spurs not open to loaning out Vicario

TuttoSport also carry similar information on the proposed transfer, stating Juve have fallen short in their pursuits of Emiliano Martinez and Mile Svilar.

As a result, ‘Vicario’s candidacy is rising again’ at the Italian club, but their efforts to secure the 29-year-old on loan have failed, with Tottenham not interested in a straight loan.

The Lilywhites are insisting on an obligation to buy to be attached to any loan deal, and that is seen as the ‘most viable option’ at the moment.
