Inter Milan hold an interest in Tottenham pair Cristian Romero and Djed Spence, who could both be on their way out of the North London club before the start of the new season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter made contact with Tottenham over a deal for Spence earlier this week, with the club likely to have been impressed by the 25-year-old’s performances at the World Cup this summer.
Another Spurs man who has delivered on the biggest stage this summer is Cristian Romero, who is looking to help Argentina retain the trophy they won in Qatar four years ago.
According to reports, Tottenham offered Romero to Inter during the talks over Spence, with the Serie A club interested in signing the Spurs captain too.

Inter Milan find Tottenham defensive duo to be expensive
Sky Sport Italia has now claimed that the Nerazzurri are continuing to work on adding a new right-back to their squad, with Spence being one of the options being explored.
However, last season’s Serie A champions face one major roadblock in their pursuit of the Spurs full-back, which is the Lilywhites’ asking price.
It is revealed that Inter only want to pay around €25-€30m (£21.2m-£25.5m) for Spence, but Tottenham are demanding a higher fee.
The Italian club are attempting to negotiate down the fee for the England international, while they also have their sights set on Romero.
The website adds that Spurs are asking for €50m (£42.5m) to sell their captain, which is considered ‘high’ by Cristian Chivu’s side.
World Cup performances could push up Romero’s and Spence’s prices
The World Cup has served as the ideal shop window for both Tottenham defenders, who have proven they are capable of dealing with the pressure that comes with playing on the biggest stage.
In fact, reports indicate that several big European clubs have been impressed by Romero’s performances for Argentina at the tournament.
One would expect the same to be true for Spence, who is valued at over £40m by Tottenham, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.
