Michael Bridge has lifted the lid on Morgan Gibbs-White’s thoughts about Tottenham, with the midfielder’s name once again being linked to a move to north London.

There is no denying that Tottenham Hotspur were keen on bringing Morgan Gibbs-White to the club last summer.

Spurs triggered the £60 million confidential release clause in Gibbs-White’s contract, but the deal collapsed after Nottingham Forest threatened legal action.

The midfielder subsequently signed a new contract extension with the Tricky Trees, while Tottenham turned their attention elsewhere and eventually secured the services of Xavi Simons.

How Morgan Gibbs-White feels about Tottenham after failed summer move

Fast forward a year and Tottenham are understood to have reignited their pursuit of Gibbs-White.

The Englishman was instrumental for Nottingham Forest last season, playing a crucial role in their battle to stay in the Premier League. He registered 15 goals and four assists in the league alone, underlining his importance.

Speaking on the Last Word On Spurs podcast, Sky Sports’ Tottenham correspondent Michael Bridge has now revealed how Gibbs-White views Tottenham.

He said: “I spoke to Morgan Gibbs-White, he thinks very highly of Spurs, very, very highly.” Of course, this comes after Tottenham’s renewed interest in the Forest man.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United join Spurs in Gibbs-White chase

After such an impressive campaign, interest in Gibbs-White has intensified, with several clubs monitoring his situation.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City are all said to be keen, alongside Tottenham, while Paris Saint-Germain are also credited with an interest.

Forest, however, are understood to be determined to keep hold of Gibbs-White and are prepared to stand firm despite the growing attention.
