Nottingham Forest’s plans for Morgan Gibbs-White have been revealed as Tottenham Hotspur and a host of other clubs battle it out for the midfielder’s signature.
Over recent weeks, it has been reported that Spurs have revived their interest in Gibbs-White after missing out on the attacking midfielder in controversial circumstances a year ago.
The Forest star has had an outstanding campaign, finding the back of the net 15 times in the Premier League, but he has still been left out of England’s World Cup squad.
It has been suggested over recent days that Tottenham may face competition from Arsenal for Gibbs-White, and a new update has now shed light on whether the midfielder can be prised away from the City Ground this summer.

Nottingham Forest not planning to sell Tottenham target Morgan Gibbs-White
The Daily Mail have now revealed what Forest’s plans are for the summer window and how they view the growing interest in the England international.
The report reveals that the Midlands club are expected to demand a British-record transfer fee for Elliot Anderson after Manchester City made an approach for the 23-year-old.
It is revealed that Forest are expected to reinvest the money from Anderson’s sale into the squad, and Evangelos Marinakis is ready to pump another £150m into the club to ensure they do not find themselves battling for relegation next season.
It is explained that despite Gibbs-White attracting interest from Chelsea, Spurs, Aston Villa and Man United, Forest do not want to sell the midfielder.
The report adds that Vitor Pereira’s men want to hang onto the former Wolves man for at least one more year after he signed a new contract last summer.
Why Spurs do not need to spend big on a number 10
While Tottenham’s squad requires major reinforcements in several positions, the attacking midfield position is not one of those.
James Maddison returned to fitness in the final few games of last season, while Dejan Kulusevski is making progress as he steps up his rehabilitation.
While Xavi Simons could be sidelined for the rest of 2026 with an ACL injury, the Dutchman certainly showed promising signs under De Zerbi before his injury against Wolves.
With Lucas Bergvall also capable of playing as a number 10, it may not make total sense for Tottenham to spend big on a player of Gibbs-White’s profile this summer.
