Sporting director Johan Lange and Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi have now explained exactly why Spurs were so keen on signing Omar Marmoush.
Omar Marmoush only just became Tottenham Hotspur’s latest summer signing as the Lilywhites continue to splash the cash.
Spurs’ summer spending is up to £382m following the addition of the versatile forward, who joins Spurs on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for £50m + £10m in add-ons next summer.
With the deal now finalised, Tottenham have completed their double swoop of Manchester City attackers, having already secured Savio earlier this week.

Sporting director Johan Lange has now explained what Marmoush can bring to Tottenham and why the club believes the Egyptian can play an important role in their plans over the coming years.
Speaking about the latest addition, Lange highlighted the forward’s ability to perform at the highest level and outlined what his arrival says about Spurs’ ambitions.
Lange, speaking to the Tottenham media team, said: “Omar is a quality player and his arrival represents a statement of our intent.
“He has demonstrated that he can perform at the highest level, and we believe he can play a major role in what we want to achieve over the coming years.

Roberto De Zerbi reveals why Omar Marmoush fits Spurs
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi has also offered his thoughts on Marmoush’s arrival, explaining why the forward fits the profile of player Tottenham want at the club.
Speaking to the Tottenham media team, De Zerbi said: “Omar is exactly the kind of player we want at this club – ambitious, hungry and determined to make a difference.
“He has incredible attacking quality but what I also love is his desire to improve and to win. He brings pace, intelligence and a real threat in front of goal, and I believe he can take our attacking play to another level.”
With Spurs back in action this weekend, the forward is now in line to make his first appearance for the club following his big-money move.
