Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has revealed his plan for Omar Marmoush following the forward’s move from Manchester City.

Roberto De Zerbi reveals what Omar Marmoush can bring to Tottenham
There is no doubt that expectations are high for Marmoush to hit the ground running quickly, with Tottenham needing an immediate impact given their struggles in front of goal.
Spurs failed to find the net in their clash against Brentford last weekend and managed just 48 goals throughout last season as they battled against relegation.
With Marmoush through the door, head coach Roberto De Zerbi, speaking to football.london, has now revealed what he believes the Egyptian can bring to his Tottenham attack.
The Spurs boss has outlined the qualities that stood out to him about Marmoush, while also explaining why the forward can give his side more options in attack.
De Zerbi said: “Great signing for us, great player. Another great player. Everyone of us love him as a player and we hope he can do what he is able to. Can give us more solutions in attack. Need more players in attack capable of scoring goals. Very fast player. Works well. A very smart player. He thinks like a coach. He can play in different positions in the pitch.”
How De Zerbi could use Marmoush against Newcastle
Marmoush is definitely a versatile player, with the Egyptian capable of playing across the front three, as a second striker and an attacking midfielder.
At Manchester City, former boss Pep Guardiola often looked to play the 27-year-old behind Erling Haaland.
That is something De Zerbi could look to try in the game against Newcastle United. Dominic Solanke grabbed his first goal of the season in the clash against Charlton Athletic and could be set to lead the line this weekend, while Marmoush could play behind the Englishman.
