Let’s take a look at three different ways Tottenham could set up in their opening Premier League game against Brentford, based on the signings they’ve made and the players they continue to be linked with.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League campaign is expected to kick off exactly 18 days from now with their clash against Brentford.
The Lilywhites have a rather strong opening day record in the Premier League in the last decade, winning six of their matchday one outings.

Roberto De Zerbi will be hoping for more of the same as Spurs aim to improve on their last two league campaigns, where they managed a disappointing 17th-place finish.
But if Tottenham are to make it yet another opening-day win, De Zerbi will need to put out a strong team, and we have now highlighted three ways Spurs could line up.

How Tottenham could line up with £237m of new signings
Tottenham have been busy this summer transfer window, securing the signature of six players already, but there could well be more.
The defence is well stacked, with Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson all coming through the door.
The midfield looks like the area of the pitch to have received the biggest upgrade yet, with the bulk of the £237 million going to that area through the signings of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.
The pair have already featured for Tottenham in pre-season and could line up on the first day of the campaign, with Fernandes making it clear that he is fit and ready – following speculation that he might be injured.
But based on the current make-up of the squad, here is one way Tottenham could line up on the first day of the Premier League season.
Kinsky; Porro, Van Hecke, VDV, Robertson; Fernandes, Tonali, Gallagher; Kudus, Solanke, Tel
Pedro Porro has not yet resumed training following his extended break after going all the way in the World Cup. However, when he does return, he should be in line to kick off the new campaign.
It could also be a debut start for the likes of Van Hecke, Robertson, Fernandes and Tonali, who are all new signings that have already played a role for Tottenham in pre-season.
Overall, it is a strong XI, but should new additions come through the door, it could look very different.

How Spurs could line up if Osimhen or Gakpo arrive
Tottenham remain in the market for forward additions. Head coach Roberto De Zerbi made that clear, stating that Spurs are still on the lookout for two or three new signings.
So far, that has seen Tottenham linked with the likes of Savinho, Cody Gakpo and even Victor Osimhen.
Should Tottenham secure the signature of these three players, then their lineup on the first day of the season could look very different.
We could see a front three of Savinho, Kudus and Osimhen should he be the striker signing. Another iteration could be a front three of Savinho, Kudus and Gakpo as a false nine.
Here is how Spurs’ opening day XI could look with Osimhen and Savinho in the squad: Kinsky; Porro, Van Hecke, Senesi, Udogie; Fernandes, Tonali, Gallagher; Kudus, Osimhen, Savinho
And how it would look with Gakpo in the team: Kinsky; Gray, Van Hecke, VDV, Robertson; Bergvall, Tonali, Gallagher; Kudus, Gakpo, Savinho
Of course, with the depth available to De Zerbi, he has the opportunity to call on several players. Archie Gray could feature at right-back should Porro not be available; Senesi could play at centre-back should Micky van de Ven miss out, while Lucas Bergvall could slot into midfield if Fernandes is still not fit enough.
