Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon is currently at Hotspur Way for pre-season training, as he looks to sort out his future before the start of the new campaign.

More than 20 Spurs players have been spotted at the training ground over the last few days, including Solomon, following his return from his loan spell at Fiorentina.

Reports over the last few weeks have indicated that the Israel international is not part of Roberto De Zerbi’s plans at Tottenham, even though the 26-year-old has worked with the Italian coach previously at Shakhtar Donetsk.

That is not a surprise, given that the attacker failed to pull up any trees during his loan spells in Seville and Florence last season.

However, Solomon himself recently spoke of his respect for De Zerbi amidst a difficult situation at Tottenham. He said: “I also know he [De Zerbi] really appreciates me, but the situation at Tottenham is different.

“There are a lot of players, but they are going really big this summer and I want to play, so I don’t know what will happen. I’m under contract there, so I can’t speak about it and I can’t know. In soccer, you never know; I’ve been through this before, so we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Tottenham have told Manor Solomon he is free to leave

The pacy wide man has not played a competitive game for Tottenham since 2023, which is why some fans may have been surprised to see him back at the training ground over recent days.

When quizzed on the winger’s future, Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has revealed that Solomon has already been informed that he is not in the club’s plans, and the winger himself is keen on leaving N17.

O’Keefe wrote on X about the 26-year-old: “He’s already been told he’s not in plans and he wants to leave anyway because of his treatment. He’s an employee. Until he finds a new employer, he has to attend.”

Solomon could seal a permanent move to Fiorentina

Fiorentina’s £8.7m option to buy Solomon permanently has not been exercised, but the winger could still return to the club ahead of next season.

Reports from Italy have claimed that the Serie A club have not completely abandoned their interest in the Tottenham attacker.

However, Corriere dello Sport suggested last week that Fiorentina want Spurs to cut their asking price for Solomon by half, to take the player to Stadio Artemio Franchi permanently.
