Tottenham have enquired about a possible deal for a Manchester United star and have received an immediate response.
Spurs have reportedly identified several alternatives to Eli Junior Kroupi, following the Frenchman’s injury, including Nicolo Tresoldi, Fisnik Asllani and Ferran Torres.
Victor Osimhen has also been mooted as a target for Spurs, while some sources have said that Nicholas Jackson is also on Tottenham’s radar, although this was subsequently shut down by Alasdair Gold.
It has now been revealed that Roberto De Zerbi’s men have explored a deal for another Premier League centre-forward.

Man United knock back Tottenham’s interest in Benjamin Sesko
According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham’s quest for a number nine has taken them to Old Trafford over recent days.
The report reveals that the North London club made enquiries through intermediaries to establish if there was a possibility of prising Benjamin Sesko from Man United.
Spurs are not the only ones to do so, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona also expressing an interest in the Slovenian international.
However, United’s response was ‘immediate and unequivocal’, with the club informing all parties that offers for Sesko will not be entertained.
It is revealed that the striker is viewed as a ‘key figure’ in Michael Carrick’s long-term plans and is expected to lead the line at United next season.
Is Sesko willing to consider a summer transfer?
TEAMtalk make it clear that Tottenham have also received no encouragement from Sesko’s entourage when they explored a possible summer deal.
The former RB Leipzig star has no desire to leave United and is thoroughly enjoying his football at Old Trafford under Carrick and his staff.
Sesko believes that he has found ‘the ideal environment’ to continue his development and remains ‘fully committed’ to helping the Red Devils compete for major honours.
United are thus confident that the centre-forward will remain at Old Trafford despite the growing interest in his services.
